For the third year in a row, Spats Restaurant and Lounge was rewarded for its dedication to a strong, varied wine list with the prestigious 2009 Wine Spectator Best of Award of Excellence. This award gives special recognition to restaurants that clearly exceed the requirements of the Award of Excellence. These lists display either vintage depth, with vertical offerings of several top producers from major regions, excellent breadth spread over several winegrowing regions. They typicallys offer 500 or more selections along with superior presentation.
Spats Restaurant and Lounge was also the proud recipient of the 2004, 2005 and 2006 Wine Spectator Award of Excellence. This award recognizes restaurants with a commitment to a fine wine list offering a well-chosen selection of quality producers, along with a thematic match to the menu in both price and style.
In addition, in 2004 Spats was also recognized for Outstanding Food & Wine Pairings by Santé Magazine – an industry magazine well-known for its reputation by food and restaurant professionals.
